Blockchain Building Blocks

The course takes a look at the cryptography that secures the privacy of your data and transactions as well as cryptocurrency wallets that utilize cryptography in their private and public keys. We also review the consensus mechanisms that ensure the accuracy and immutability of the entire blockchain. We also touch on the layers of the blockchain: Layer 0, Layer 1, and Layer 2 protocols, which form the building blocks of the technology and its growing number of decentralized applications (dApps).
